Polestar has a leveling talent plan for every spec of every class in WoW: Forever: three per class, 27 in all, each an ordered list of picks from level 10 to 60 with short notes on why. A plan never spends a point for you. It shows you the next talent, and you spend it.

Pick a plan#

Type /polestar talents to open your plan, or pick Talents on the hub's rail (/polestar guides opens the hub). Choose one of your class's three plans, or leave it on automatic: Polestar then follows the spec your gear advice uses, else the talent tree where you have spent the most points. The choice is kept for each character.

On the talent frame#

With a plan chosen, the game's talent frame shows it:

A ring on the next talent in your plan while a point is unspent.

Pick numbers

where each talent comes in your plan's order (#1, #2, ...).
A flag on points the plan does not spend, so a misclick stands out.

A line in each talent's tooltip

where it comes in the plan, or that it is off the plan.

When a point is waiting, a chat line names the plan's next talent.

A plan is an order, not a schedule. The plans are written one point a level from 10, but Forever can hand out points sooner (a Legacy talent can grant them from level 5), so the levels in a plan's notes read "around level N", and the marks always follow the next pick whatever your level. Each plan was checked against Forever's own talent tree; if an update moves or renames a talent the plan uses, the Talents section says the plan is out of date and the frame shows no marks.

Where the plans come from#

The Paladin plans are adapted from a community talent site's leveling builds. The Warrior and Rogue plans adapt that site's builds up to level 30, and the Druid and Warlock plans follow them to level 30 and are Polestar's own after. The Hunter's Beast Mastery and Marksmanship plans follow the site's builds to level 20; Survival, and the Mage, Priest and Shaman plans, are written for Polestar, with the site used only as a reference for Forever's new and changed talents. Every note is Polestar's own wording. Credits & data sources names the site.
