Cookie notice
The cookies and browser storage polestar.guide uses. Strictly necessary only, so no banner.
In short
- We use only strictly necessary cookies: the ones that keep you signed in and protect sign-in. That is why there is no cookie banner.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies.
- Your browser also keeps a few preferences (such as grid or list view) on your device; they never leave it.
1. Cookies
polestar.session_token keeps you signed in (up to 30 days, renewed as you use the site). While you sign in with Battle.net, Google, Discord or GitHub, short-lived cookies hold the sign-in state for a few minutes to protect against forged sign-ins. All are first-party, sent only to polestar.guide, and needed for the service you ask for, so the law does not require consent for them.
2. Browser storage
Your browser remembers a few choices on your device: the catalogue’s grid or list view, whether you rated a docs page as helpful, and whether you have already seen an intro animation this visit. They are never sent to us.
3. What we don’t do
No analytics, advertising, social or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts that set cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask first.
