• Reach level 12
• Accept Tome of Divinity from Brother WilhelmOptionalBrother Wilhelm, Goldshire

At 12 Brother Wilhelm, the paladin trainer in Goldshire, sends you to Duthorian Rall in Stormwind's Cathedral of Light. The errand is optional, a little XP: Brandur Ironhammer in Ironforge gives the same one (taking one closes the other), and Duthorian starts the chain without it.

• Accept Tome of Divinity from Brandur IronhammerOptionalBrandur Ironhammer, Ironforge

At 12 Brandur Ironhammer, the paladin trainer in Ironforge's Mystic Ward, sends you upstairs to Tiza Battleforge. The errand is optional, a little XP: Azar Stronghammer in Kharanos and Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker in Stormwind give the same one (taking one closes the others), and Tiza starts the chain without it.

Stephanie Turner stands at a corner in the middle of the Trade District, outside a general goods store. Back to the Cathedral. Duthorian gives you the Symbol of Life; Gazin Tenorm lies wounded by the altar of the same hall. Keep the symbol: you need it on Henze Faulk. If you lose it, Duthorian gives you another (The Symbol of Life).

Henze Faulk lies dead on Heroes' Vigil, the island in Stone Cairn Lake in eastern Elwynn, on top of one of the mounds around the stone circle. Target his body and use the Symbol of Life to raise him, then speak to him. If another paladin just raised him, his body is back within about three minutes. The Defias Rogue Wizards on the island (level 9–10) cast Frostbolt from far off: they stand apart, so pull one at a time.

• Kill Defias Rogue Wizard for Defias Script for The Tome of DivinityDefias Script: Defias Rogue Wizards

The Defias Rogue Wizards around the big stone tablet east of Henze carry the Defias Script: about one kill in two drops it, but some players need many kills. They respawn in three minutes.

John Turner walks the outer ring of the Commons, past the front gate, the bank and the Auction House. He wants 10 Linen Cloth: humanoids drop it (Kogan Forgestone in Kharanos every time, Dark Iron Ambushers about two kills in five), or buy it at the Auction House on his ring.

Target his body and use the Symbol of Life to raise him, then speak to him. If another paladin just raised him, his body is back within about three minutes.

• Kill Dark Iron Spy for Dark Iron Script for The Tome of DivinityDark Iron Script: Dark Iron Spies

The Dark Iron Spies (level 9–11, twelve of them) sneak around the little house below the lake, just south of Narm; you see them from his hill. About one kill in two drops the Dark Iron Script. They run for help at low health: finish them or step back. They respawn in three minutes.
