Polestar is a free, open-source (GPL-3.0) leveling guide addon for World of Warcraft: Forever. Every guide here ships inside the addon: in game, `/polestar guides` opens the guide menu, and the guide window shows the steps with a waypoint arrow.

## Steps

The steps as the guide window shows them, in order. Goals marked with a race or class are only for that race or class.

### 1. PvP rank 11

Forever's PvP ranks come from Rank Points earned in battlegrounds and world PvP, with a weekly cap; Commander (rank 11) unlocks the Black War mounts. Polestar cannot read your rank, so this step waits for level 40 and the riding skill.

- Reach level **40**
- Raise **Riding** to 75

### 2. Lieutenant Karter

Where: 76.8, 65.9 on the Stormwind City map.

Lieutenant Karter sells the mounts in the Champions' Hall in Stormwind's Old Town, beside the other honor quartermasters such as Officer Areyn. The Forever client lists each at 100g; choose one.

- Sell and repair at **Lieutenant Karter**
- Buy **Black War Steed Bridle** from Lieutenant Karter (optional) — 100g
- Buy **Reins of the Black War Tiger** from Lieutenant Karter (optional) — 100g
- Buy **Black Battlestrider** from Lieutenant Karter (optional) — 100g
- Buy **Black War Ram** from Lieutenant Karter (optional) — 100g
